Interesting Web Search

I was just perusing my server logs when I noticed that someone found their way to this site after searching on MSN for “how can I hit the lottery by doing math.” Trust me, if I knew the answer to that one, I wouldn’t post it here. At least not until after I had used the information myself. A few times. But if you have a suggestion, you’re welcome to post it in the comments.

  1. Actually, winning the lottery by doing the math is quite easy. My fiancé and I win every month by doing the math.

You see, the chances of your winning are less than getting hit by a meteorite, but an emigrant direct money market account these days is offering a 4% interest rate. So, we put the money into the money market account and ignore the lottery, and voilá, we win the lottery by doing the math.

  4. Oh, there are lots of interesting ways that you could die which are much more likely than winning the lottery – like dying from flesh eating bacteria which is 18 to 120 times more likely. And if you want to know more odds…
