Weekly Roundup – 03/17/06

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It’s that time again… Time to put together my weekly roundup of the best personal finance posts from the MoneyBlogNetwork and beyond.
First off, I just discovered the joy of podcasts, and I’ve now caught up on all nine episodes of the MoneyBloggerPodcast. If you have an iPod (or any other MP3 player) and some spare time (like during your commute), I highly recommend it.
pfBlueprint pointed out that the three credit bureaus have agreed on a standard scoring algorithm called VantageScore.
MightyBargainHunter talks about the Congress’ decision to boost the federal debt limit to $9 TRILLION (!!!). Don’t forget, you can always write a check to help pay off the federal debt.
AllThingsFinancial started a phenomenon by talking about how much house $300k can buy. This was actually helped along by a post over at pfBlueprint that got the ball rolling.
FreeMoneyFinance talks about common tax deductions that people often miss.
ConsumerismCommentary considers whether a house is an asset or a liability.
IWillTeachYouToBeRich talks about things that he hates spending money on and asks readers to add their own.
StopBuyingCrap has decided to send back his free Emigrant Direct hat due to bad customer service. He even posted the USPS tracking number (9101805213907103706638) so everyone can keep tabs on the progress.
And last but not least, PFBlogs.org now has a blog of its own!
