Retirement Savings Poll Results
Once again, this week’s poll on retirement savings had a great reponse, with over 220 votes cast thus far. The question of the week was “Do you have any retirement savings accounts?” Fully 92% of respondents reported that they’re saving for retirement through either an employer-sponsored plan, an IRA of some sort, or both. That’s pretty impressive although, as before, I’m convinced that readers of this site are a highly non-random sample (clearly, you’re all above average!). Breaking the numbers down a bit further, 30% have an employer sponsored plan (401k, 403b, etc.) only, 9% have only an IRA, whereas 53% have both types of accounts. Click here for the full results.
Be sure to check back next week for the next poll in the series. And if you have any ideas for poll questions that you’d like to see, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
