Weekly Roundup - 05/05/06

Before I get rolling on this week’s roundup, I just wanted to remind y’all about the MoneyBlogNetwork Forums, which are fast becoming a treasure trove of information for personal finance bloggers of all shapes and sizes. Please stop by and check it out. Okay, that’s the end of the shameless plug, now back to your regularly scheduled programming… Here’s a look at what’s going on around the MoneyBlogNetwork and beyond…

JLP at AllFinancialMatters reports that AARP is getting into the mutual fund business.

FMF at FreeMoneyFinance has some gas saving tips. It’s a good thing, too, because I was just dreaming of a milk-powered car.

Jim at pfBlueprint takes on a topic that is near and dear to my heart — good (cheap) beer. After all, life’s to short to drink cheap beer (unless it’s really, really good).

MightyBargainHunter is busy de-junking his house — it’s flea market time!

Flexo of ConsumerismCommentary has some suggestions for improving your sleep (see also part 2). And if that’s not enough, he warns that sleep loss is cumulative. Using that logic, I’m going to have to sleep for about five years straight when our kids get older (and my poor wife will have to sleep for about ten).

Jeff at PFAdvice wants to know whether you’d rather be fat or poor. As it turns out, the two often go hand in hand.

Nick at Punny Money has an incredibly concise explanation as to how/why the housing bubble will ultimately pop.

That’s all folks!
