Weekly Roundup - 04/27/06

Here’s a quick look at some of the articles that caught my eye over the past week.

JLP talks about when you should drop collision and comprehensive coverage.

Jim talks about how to talk salaries with your co-workers.

Flexo got a Nintendo Wii. And guess what? We also decided to buy a Wii this past weekend.

FMF wrote an update on his horrible experience with a Sears elliptical exercise machine. Just this week, my wife mentioned wanting an elliptical — guess where we’re not buying one?

MBH talked about his obsessions.

Henry talked about home equity loans and taxes.

SVB talked about how to look good on a budget. Fortunately, I look good all the time. ;)

Jeremy talked about the danger of putting college savings ahead of other financial needs.

Lazy Man talked about how much customer service is costing you (see also Part 2)

Golbguru wants to know how much you’re paying for electricity.

Ben asks: What’s the most effective way to donate money?

Sun talks about where he keeps his emergency fund.

The Good Human has some great tips for reducing your environmental impact, many of which can save you money.

Finally, MyRetirementBlog says that having more than $25k in savings means that you’re above average in the United States.
