New Citi Dividend Platinum Rewards Promotion
If you’re on the lookout for a new reward credit card, I just received word that there is a new promo on the Citi Dividend Platinum Select Card (expired!). In short, you’ll get 5% cash back at gas stations, supermarkets, drugstores, convenience stores, as well as on utilites (including cable) for 6 months. This falls to 2% thereafter, and you’ll earn 1% on all other purchases. Also note that you can get a 0% balance transfer for up to 12 months on this card, although there is a 3% transfer.
While I’m still partial to the Citi Driver’s Edge Card, which offers 6% rebates on gas, groceries, and drugstores for 12 months, and 3% thereafter (plus 1% on all else), I also recognize that there area few more hoops to jump through when it comes to redeeming rewards on the Driver’s Edge card. Thus, I thought it was worth pointing this new Dividend Platinum Select deal.

new customers only??

“This offer is only valid for new accounts.”
So if you already have a Citi card, you’re in the clear as long as you are *adding* a new card with this. But if you’re trying to convert an existing card, I think you’re out of luck.
That’s nice…I already have this card. I know they took that promotion away from a lot of customers, I am sure they will be glad to see its back…but not for them. For some reason, I still have it on my account.
