Weekly Roundup – Anniversary Edition
Yesterday my wife and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe all the things we’ve experienced and how much our lives have changed in the past eleven years. Fortunately, pretty much all of these changes have been for the better. We now have four fantastic boys, our finances are on the rise, and the future is looking bright. Life is good. In case you’re curious, here’s a numerical look at our life up through last year. With that said, let’s take a look at some of the articles that caught my eye over the past week…
JLP wrote a fantastic post about the risks associated with not investing in stocks.
FMF talked about buying a car with a credit card.
Jim is looking into Lasik.
Sasha wrote about buying a residential rental property.
MBH talked about how competitive local builders are getting.
SVB talked about the cost of having kids. I agree. It’s not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Or at least it doesn’t have to be that bad if you use your head.
On a related note, I wrote about saving money on kid stuff over at Raising4Boys.
Jeremy polled his readers about the future of social security.
LazyMan talked about market timing with his 401(k) contributions.
4M talked about intelligence and money.
Ben talked about starting an eBay business.
Sun talked about where to park cash during a difficult market.
Clever Dude discovered that CarFax isn’t reliable.
Finally, NCN talked about his 403(b) plan, and… They’re having another baby!
