Weekly Roundup – Pneumonia Edition
Over the weekend, two of our kids were diagnosed with pneumonia, with another falling just short with bronchitis. Fun.
While we’re getting better, check out these articles from across the web…
For starters, CreditAddict talked about negotiating with credit card issuers.
Jim wrote about four ways to make it harder to spend money.
Flexo put together an interesting piece on the transition to digital television.
SVB talked about the true cost of relocating. Having moved a number of times in my life, I can vouch for the large number of hidden costs of moving.
MBH talked about the mileage deduction. I’ve been tracking business-related trips to the bank and the P.O. Box. While it won’t add up to much, something is better than nothing.
NCN talked about building a new budget in advance of a baby.
Lazy Man put together a nice list of things to do to prepare for an emergency. It’s this sort of thinking that caused me to write about keeping cash on hand earlier this week.
Daily Money Hack says you can buy lost mail from the USPS. I’ve never heard of such a thing, but it sounds kind of interesting. Actually, it sounds like a potential gold mine for identity thieves.

Wow, hope they feel better soon! My sister and I pulled the pneumonia/bronchitis stunt back in the day. Be sure to get some rest of your own.
Comment by Mrs. Micah — Jan 14th 2008 @ 4:23 pmSorry to hear about that. My youngest son had pneumonia right around his 5th birthday. He spent several days in the hospital. That was 6 years ago!
Anyway I hope they get well soon. They’re in my prayers.
