Carnivals – Week of 03/17/08

FiveCentNickel participated in five carnivals this week. Here they are along with links to my articles that were included in each.

The Carnival of Personal Finance included “Middle-Class Millionaires.” Also included was “Can Merchants Require a Minimum Purchase for Credit Card Transactions?” from Credit Addict.

The Carnival of Family Life included “The High Cost of Instant Gratification.” Also included was “Disney Magic Caribbean Cruise Review” from Raising4Boys.

The Carnival of Debt Reduction included “Seven Deadly Sins That Lead to Debt.”

The Carnival of Everything Finance included “Past Performance Does Not Predict Future Returns.” Also included was “What Do Credit Card Numbers Mean?” from Credit Addict.

Finally, the Best of Me Symphony included “Buying Gift Cards at a Discount.” Also included was “Negotiate With Credit Card Issuers” from Credit Addict and “Pneumonia, Bronchitis, and Birthdays, Oh My!” from Raising4Boys.

  1. Does participation in these carnivals increase traffic? Seems like they might. It also seems like it would bring the “right” readers. Of course you cannot find and keep the “right” readers until you have enough of any kind of reader.

    I got curious and put together a survey to see how many readers it takes on average to get the conversations started and start reaching that “right” audience. Now I am trying to find successful bloggers to provide feed-back on how many readers it takes to reach critical mass.
