Opening an FNBO Direct Savings Account (Update)
This is just a quick followup to my earlier post about opening an FNBO Direct savings account. To recap, I filled out the application on Saturday night and they said they’d be make a couple of test deposits into our linked checking account within 1-3 business days.
As it turns out, the test deposits showed up on Monday morning, and I hopped back over to the FNBO Direct website shortly thereafter to verify them. With that done, I set up our login credentials and… Well, that’s it. We now have one of the best online savings accounts available. We’re currently on the road for a short family vacation, but I’ll be sure to publish more details once I’ve had more time to poke around behind the scenes.

I’ll be interested to hear how this goes; I’m intrigued by the FNBO/ING deal but I wonder what inconveniences I’m not seeing when I imagine using one.
