This is great stuff, thank you. I just recently spent my Home Depot gift cards from the last sign up bonus from Citi and going to cancel the cards in a few months to avoid the annual fee.
I would really like to hear someone’s experience with one of the big sign up bonuses. I am also going to be getting refinance quotes soon, and then I will be able to see if this practice has significantly affected my FICO score.

I believe the Capital One card has a 25,000 miles bonus, however its cash redemption is only $125. At least that is what it is on my current Capital One card.
Miles do not equal cents.

I recently applied for the Citi Premier and the annual fee was waived for the first year. It doesn’t come out and state this but Probably still the case.
